The students did an excellent job and their speeches displayed very high levels of pronunciation, intonation and stage presence.
Alyssa, Mr Nishi and I judged the contest and while it was very hard to choose the best speeches we came to a decision on four winners.
This year two students shared the first prize while further prizes were awarded for second and third places.
Everyone did a great job by giving their speeches on such a large stage in front of so many students. I hope that those who could not take part this year are encouraged to try next year when we hold the event again.
