The ‘Journey’ to Halloween
Have you noticed the new board outside the Principal’s room? Recently the Principal posted a message which said, “Happiness is a journey, not a destination.” I really love this saying and thought of it the other day when the students were decorating the English Café for Halloween.
In this case, the “destination” is of course October 31st, or Halloween. We will have a small party after school that day and students will play some games and get a candy or two. It will be a lot of fun and we are all looking forward to it. However, preparing for Halloween, or the “journey” to get there, is also where a lot of the fun – or happiness – takes place.
I think you can see from these pictures how much the students enjoyed themselves working together with friends to creatively transform the English Café into a Halloween zone. Thank you, everyone!
