カナダ ・ノバスコシア留学だより 9月
9月からカナダのノバスコシアに５か月留学している高校2年生から、お便りが届きました。
It’s been exactly one month since I came to Nova Scotia, Canada! At first, I was a little worried about whether I could fit into my new school, but since there are many other international students here, I felt reassured knowing that others are also working hard in a foreign country like me. Thanks to that, it hasn’t been too difficult. Our school also holds exchange events frequently, so I have lots of chances to make friends and I’m really enjoying my days here.
カナダのノバスコシアに来てちょうど１か月が経ちました！最初は新しい学校に馴染めるか少し不安でしたが、ここには他にも留学生がたくさんいるので、私と同じように外国で頑張っている人がいて安心しました。おかげで、それほど大変なことはないです。学校では交流イベントも頻繁に開催されているので、友達を作る機会もたくさんあり、とても楽しい日々を送っています。
As you know, Japan has an animation culture that we can truly be proud of worldwide. Because of that, many of my friends here already know about Japan and are interested in it. My host sister, for example, loves Sanrio and Pokémon and collects figures and plushies. My classmates also talk to me a lot, and since I like making new friends and I’m pretty good at it, I don’t have any troubles with relationships so far.
ご存知の通り、日本には世界に誇るアニメ文化があります。そのため、ここにいる友達の多くは既に日本のことを知っていて、興味を持っています。例えば、私のホストシスターはサンリオとポケモンが大好きで、フィギュアやぬいぐるみを集めています。クラスメイトもよく話しかけてくれて、私は新しい友達を作るのが得意なので、今のところ人間関係で困ったことはありません。
Actually, this is my second time studying abroad in Canada, but compared to the last time, I feel even more fortunate with the people and environment around me. Nova Scotia is honestly quite rural, and you really need a car to get anywhere, but it also offers unique scenery that you can only see in a place like this. Being here has made me appreciate the beauty of nature all over again 🌱

実はカナダへの留学は今回で2回目なのですが、前回と比べて、周りの人々や環境に恵まれていると感じています。ノバスコシア州はかなり田舎で、どこに行くにも車が不可欠ですが、この場所でしか見られない景色も楽しめます。ここに来て、改めて自然の美しさに感謝するようになりました🌱
