The School Principal Dr.Takako Tomita 　Shizuoka Eiwa Girls' Junior and Senior High School is the oldest private women's school in Shizuoka Prefecture with one hundred fifteen years of history since its foundation. It has survived more than a century of social change while providing a sound education for young women. A significant part of Eiwa is the morning chapel service which we believe sets the spiritual tone for the day as religious education is seen by the community as one of our school's special attributes. 　Because our first principal was a Canadian missionary, we have sister schools in Canada and provide study programs abroad. These programs enable our students to integrate their international experiences into daily life as we believe education in all areas broadens the mind. 　With its long tradition, I expect our students to be proud of their education at Eiwa, developing respect for themselves and others as they enjoy their teenage years. We provide an environment in which our young ladies develop their capabilities scholastically, spiritually and socially, therefore contributing fully to society as mature individuals.
